PowerX Receives Grid-Scale BESS Order from Maeda Corporation

TOKYO, JAPAN — PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito) announced that it has received an order from Maeda Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Soji Maeda) for three units of its "Mega Power 2700A" grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS), totaling 8,226 kWh in capacity.

The order is for the "Miyota Town High-Voltage Battery Farm," a new facility being developed by Maeda Corporation in Miyota Town, Nagano Prefecture. The facility is scheduled to commence operation in winter 2026. By connecting to the power grid and performing charging and discharging operations, the system will contribute to stabilizing the power supply-demand balance.

PowerX will continue to contribute to the stabilization of power grids during the phase of renewable energy expansion by providing high-quality BESS manufactured in Japan.
