PowerX Completes Delivery of BESS for Its First Extra-High Voltage Battery Farm
2026.05.27

TOKYO, JAPAN — PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito; Securities Code: 485A) has delivered 20 units of its “Mega Power 2700A” grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS), totaling 54.84 MWh, to an extra-high voltage battery farm developed by Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe City; Representative Director and President: Norihito Tahara) in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture. The battery farm was completed on May 27 as the first extra-high voltage battery farm* to use PowerX’s BESS.
The newly completed "Kasai Mega Power Battery Farm" operates on the Kansai area power grid, storing surplus electricity and releasing it when demand rises to help balance supply and demand. The facility is expected to further promote renewable energy adoption in the region.
This marks the first of multiple BESS deliveries to Kamigumi, with additional projects planned in Tokyo and Oita Prefecture as the partnership between the two companies continues to expand.
PowerX will continue to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality in Japan through the supply of domestically developed and manufactured BESS.
