PowerX Receives Grid-Scale BESS Order for ENEOS Power’s Extra-High Voltage Storage Project

TOKYO, JAPAN --- PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito; Securities Code: 485A) has received an order from Daiwa Energy Co., Ltd. for 40 units of its "Mega Power 2700A" grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS), totaling 109.7 MWh in capacity. The systems will be installed at an extra-high voltage battery storage project that ENEOS Power Corporation (Head Office: Minato City, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yasushi Onoda) is developing in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
The new facility will be built on the grounds of the ENEOS Group’s Shimizu Oil Terminal and is scheduled to commence operation in FY 2028. By charging and discharging electricity in connection with the power grid in the Chubu area, the facility will help stabilize the balance of electricity supply and demand and support the further expansion of renewable energy in the area.
PowerX will continue to contribute to the stabilization of the power grid during the phase of renewable energy expansion through the supply of BESS developed and manufactured in Japan.
