PowerX Produces 500th “Mega Power 2700A” Large-Scale Battery Storage System

TOKYO, JAPAN --- PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito; Securities Code: 485A) announces that cumulative production of the "Mega Power 2700A," its large-scale battery storage system manufactured in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, has reached 500 units. Together, these units represent a total capacity of approximately 1.37 GWh (nominal), equivalent to one day's electricity consumption of approximately 128,000 average Japanese households.

The Mega Power 2700A is a large-scale battery storage system that houses 2,742 kWh of lithium iron phosphate batteries in a 20-foot container. It is manufactured on a build-to-order basis at the Okayama Second Factory. Since delivering the first mass-produced unit in December 2023, PowerX has steadily expanded shipments in response to growing demand for battery storage systems. The system has been deployed across Japan for a wide range of applications, primarily at grid-scale battery storage facilities, as well as co-located with solar power plants and used for energy management at factories and logistics facilities.
