PowerX to Supply Battery-Powered Renewable Energy to Saga Tekkohsho

TOKYO, JAPAN — PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito; Stock Code: 485A) will begin supplying renewable energy powered by battery storage to the Fujisawa Factory of Saga Tekkohsho Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Saga City, Saga Prefecture; President and CEO: Katsunori Hisatomi) starting April 2026. The electricity will be delivered through PowerX's corporate energy service, the "Advance Plan."

Located in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, the Fujisawa Factory is a key manufacturing site where Saga Tekkohsho produces high-strength bolts for the automotive industry. Under this service, the factory will source 60% of its electricity from renewable energy with "additionality," while optimally procuring the remaining 40% from the wholesale electricity market. This approach balances environmental impact reduction with cost efficiency.

PowerX's "Advance Plan*" (formerly: X-PPA) is a corporate electricity service that combines wind power as a baseload source with solar energy generated during the day. Additionally, excess daytime solar power is stored in batteries and discharged in the evening as "nighttime solar." This enables a stable supply of renewable energy around the clock, helping facilities with high electricity demand—such as manufacturing plants—achieve both decarbonization and reliable power supply.
