PowerX Launches Co-Branded Battery Energy Storage System Package with ITOCHU

TOKYO, JAPAN — PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito) announced the launch of a co-branded battery energy storage system (BESS) package "PowerX × Bluestorage" as part of its collaboration with ITOCHU Corporation (Head Office: Minato City, Tokyo; President & COO: Keita Ishii).

PowerX has developed expertise and technical capabilities in the battery storage sector through its domestically developed and manufactured "Mega Power" systems. This collaboration with ITOCHU Corporation, which has extensive business operations and a proven sales track record in the sector, will strengthen PowerX's ability to meet diverse customer needs.

The package combines PowerX's "Mega Power 2700A" or "Mega Power 2500" , suitable for grid-scale battery farms and solar power plant co-location applications, with power conditioning systems (PCS) from SMA Solar Technology AG of Germany. The "PowerX × Bluestorage" co-branded package, leveraging ITOCHU's industrial and grid-scale "Bluestorage" brand, will be offered with highly competitive pricing.

The package has already been selected, including a project in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, with four sites in total in the Kanto, Chubu, and Kyushu regions.PowerX will leverage ITOCHU's sales network to expand domestic market presence through this collaboration.
