2025.09.02

TOKYO, JAPAN — PowerX, Inc. (Head Office: Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture; Director, President and CEO: Masahiro Ito) announced that it has received an order for 24 units of its “Mega Power 2700A” battery energy storage system (BESS), totaling 65.8 MWh in capacity. The systems are for a new extra-high voltage batterry farm project in Asahi Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, jointly developed by Tokyo Century Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Fujiwara) and MIRARTH Energy Solutions Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku City, Tokyo; President: Kentaro Taniguchi).

The system is scheduled to commence operation in fiscal year 2029. By connecting to the power grid in the Tokyo area for charging and discharging, it will contribute to stabilizing the supply-demand balance.

The project has also been selected to receive a subsidy from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote the adoption of renewable energy.

PowerX will continue to contribute to Japan's carbon neutrality by providing BESS solutions developed and manufactured domestically.
