PowerX Delivers Stationary Storage Battery to Prologis Park Soka
PowerX, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato City, Tokyo, Japan; Director, President & CEO: Masahiro Ito) recently delivered its “Mega Power” stationary storage battery to Prologis Park Soka, a multi-tenant logistics facility located in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture. The facility is operated by Prologis (Japan Headquarters: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; Chairman & CEO: Mikio Yamada), the global leader in logistics real estate. The storage system is now operational.
The newly installed container-type battery energy storage system (BESS) , along with its Energy Management System (EMS), enables optimal charge and discharge control. This improves the facility’s overall energy efficiency through peak shifting and shaving. Additionally, it promotes the effective utilization of renewable energy, contributing to the reduction of electricity costs and lowering the facility’s environmental footprint.
Moving forward, PowerX remains committed to driving the adoption of storage batteries across logistics facilities. This will facilitate greater use of renewable energy, reduce electricity costs, and help businesses lower their greenhouse gas emissions.
