PowerX operates grid battery farms to maximize performance and returns. The tolling model offers stable, infrastructure-like returns with an IRR of about 4%. The merchant model captures additional upside by participating in spot, capacity, and balancing markets, with IRR potential of 4–10%, depending on market conditions.
02 Solar Power Plant Operation with Battery Storage
By adding battery storage to a solar plant, generated electricity can be sold at higher value. Switching to the FIP scheme and using the battery to charge during low-price hours and discharge during high-price hours increases market value.
03 Services for Power Retailers
PowerX offers access to the capabilities of our battery farms for retailers and DR providers. We enable multiple use cases—such as shifting solar output to nighttime supply, arbitrage using day-night price spreads, and participation in balancing markets.
